Nhi Linh is having a ball (err . . . a weeble-wobble)! On Jan. 16, our 9-year-old Asian elephant got a kick out of her enrichment toy as she and her mother, Trong Nhi, played in the Elephant Community Center. The Zoo's Elephant Cam captured all the ele-FUN!

In the wild, Asian elephants use their bodies to fell trees and their trunks to move logs. Keepers give our elephants enrichment to encourage these natural behaviors. Toys like this help them keep physically fit and mentally sharp; they also encourage them to socialize and play!

Get to know Trong Nhi and Nhi Linh in this update from the elephant team!
