About the Farm

Sagro Farms is a sustainability-driven agricultural company dedicated to producing high-quality coffee while protecting the ecosystems that support it. Our Bird Friendly® coffee is grown in the highland regions of El Salvador using traditional shade-grown methods that preserve native tree canopies, enrich soil health, and provide vital habitat for wildlife—particularly migratory birds.
What makes our coffee unique is our holistic approach to farming. We manage our coffee landscapes as living forest systems, maintaining diverse shade cover and practicing organic, regenerative land stewardship. These practices not only support biodiversity and environmental resilience, but also contribute to the complex, vibrant flavor profiles found in our coffees.
We chose Smithsonian Bird Friendly® certification because it represents the highest standard for ecological responsibility in coffee production. Protecting migratory bird habitat is deeply aligned with our values and our belief that agriculture should work in harmony with nature. Bird Friendly certification provides transparency, accountability, and measurable conservation impact—connecting each cup of coffee to healthier forests and thriving ecosystems.
At Sagro Farms, Bird Friendly coffee is more than a label; it is a commitment to conservation, quality, and a more sustainable future for farming communities and wildlife alike.
